Exhibition: 20-31 March 2024

Imprint – Contemporary NZ Printmakers Showcase brings together 11 accomplished New Zealand printmakers showing a wide cross-section of contemporary printmaking in Aotearoa NZ today.
Artists: Anna Layzell, Carrie Carey, Hamish Macaulay, Josef Kieninger, Kirsty White, Lynne McMenamin, Marci Tackett, Rosemary Mortimer, Sally-Ann Davies, Sheryl Gibbs, and Tim Li.
Curators: Jen Wiggle & Hamish Macaulay.

Sharing 20 meters of white wall in LightSpace Gallery, this group of artists imbue their skill and passion for printmaking in an exhibition that showcases to the public the breadth and variety of printmaking styles and techniques.

Imprint explores the many forms of this age-old medium. From traditional techniques such as etching, linocut and gyotaku through to contemporary processes including screen-printing, gel plate printing and collagraph, these 11 artisans display work created at the forefront of contemporary printmaking in NZ currently.

Extra unframed artworks will also be displayed in print racks during the exhibition. Works will be available to purchase.

Thank you to Gordon Harris Art Supplies, North End Breweries and Aotearoa Art Supplies for their generous support for this exhibition.

We are offering 12-day hires giving two weekends – Wednesday through Sunday of the following week – at $160 per day including GST.

Shared between two artists, $80 per day for about 10m of gallery wall each is a cost-effective opportunity for artists to exhibit a group of works.
