Crafting Textile Jewellery with Astrid Visser.

This Textile Jewellery Workshop, led by artist Astrid Visser offers an opportunity to explore the repurposing potential of discarded artwork by incorporating textile elements to create our own textile jewellery creation.

Explore a variety of techniques, including embroidery, and paint and resin application. Gain insight into Astrid's material-led practice, exploring, selecting and combining materials.

All materials are provided but if you have works on canvas or other materials you may want to repurpose into jewellery then bring them along.

Your $160 fee includes a light lunch and a glass of wine.

About your tutor

Astrid Visser is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts educator known for her material-led approach to creativity. With a background in painting, design, digital projection, and textile art, Astrid’s work has been exhibited in various galleries and competitions, including the World of Wearable Arts Gallery in Nelson and as a finalist in the National Textile Awards exhibition, ‘Changing Threads’. Astrid has also taught at Massey University and various other institutions. Her unique blend of art and craft resonates with audiences, inspiring others to unlock their creative potential and explore new avenues of expression.
