Event 2023: Masterclass with Grahame Sydney

We offered a select group of artists an opportunity to join internationally renowned landscape artist Sir Grahame Sydney KNZM for a one-on-one mentoring session to learn the tricky art of self-critique to lift your work to new dimensions.

Applying an objective eye to your own work can be learned, helped with direction and guidance from an experienced professional artist, and honing an analytical mindset.
Each of a maximum of 12 individuals will bring 4-5 of their recent works (completed and uncompleted) along with an open mind and a genuine desire to grow and take on board constructive feedback.

You will gain:

• An honest critique – telling you what he sees and his own approach to self-critique.
• Constructive questions – what do you feel is good about your work; what are you unhappy with; where do you feel the need for improvement or change is?
• A new perspective on what’s happening within the frame: what you might not have thought about.

Limited to 12 individuals with around 30 minutes for each participant.

You can meet Sir Grahame and hear his views on what he looks for in a scene and in a painting. The masterclass is now fully subscribed but you can join the audience, or join us for an informal session at the end of the day on Saturday over a wine and cheese, or on Sunday morning with coffee.  See here for more information.
