Min Kim Inspires Local Painters in Watercolour Workshop

The spacious hall behind St Andrew’s on The Terrace saw fifteen keen watercolour artists learning how they could take their painting to the next level from award-winning artist Min Kim in a workshop over the 3rd - 4th June. The artists relished the opportunity to spend a couple of exciting days exploring the medium of watercolour in the company of a master practitioner. The hall again proved to be a superb venue and offered the participating artists an unexpected treat with a free lunchtime concert, too, as Samuel Yuan played in the church behind them on the 4th June. Gordon Harris Wellington again generously provided easels for the workshop.

Min Kim is an excellent tutor for watercolour artists. She was the winner of the 2025 Supreme Award at Watercolour New Zealand’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition and won the Winsor & Newton & 'Watercolour New Zealand' online competition with the same work. Her next workshop in Wellington will be on the 19th and 20th of August, again in St Andrew’s on The Terrace Hall.
