The President and Council of the Academy of Fine Arts are pleased to announce that Art Shows Across Aotearoa have partnered with the Academy for 2025 and beyond. This partnership recognises our mutual goals to reward and promote art excellence throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.

Each of the four regional STUFF Art Aotearoa Gold Award winning artworks will be purchased by the Academy of Fine Arts. These four regional award-winning works will then be featured by the Academy in an end of year exhibition, where the national STUFF Art Aotearoa Gold Award winner will be officially announced. The Academy will join Art Shows Across Aotearoa and STUFF Media in supporting the STUFF Art Aotearoa Gold Award via our respective media platforms and data bases.

As well as supporting the STUFF Art Aotearoa Gold Award, the Academy will be selecting an artist to exhibit at each of the four art shows who embodies the Academy’s vision of art excellence. We believe that it is only through such partnerships and the mutual promotion of art excellence that we can grow the appreciation of, and demand for, original artworks by New Zealand artists.
